I just think this blog is hard to read. For future reference - black type on non-white background is not a good idea.

Yi Jianlian (NJ - PF)
Quentin Richardson (NY - SG,SF)

Thoughts:

First pick - I didn’t want it, but I had the first pick and of course I hadda take CP3. Usually I like to kill it with bigs, and muscle all the other teams out, so it was difficult this year to build around a PG. So my strategy was to go Big-Big in rounds 2 & 3, and then try to draft players that basically had either PG or C stats.

Gamebreaker - Taking a huge gamble with Yao this year. I know he’s missed 20+ games past 3 seasons, but I felt like I needed to roll the dice since my 2nd/3rd picks were so much further from my 1st.

Question marks - Q-Rich, Yi Jianlian, and Pietrus. Can they breakout this year? Can Q-Rich get back to his Phoenix form back under D’Antoni?

Sleeper category - Steals. CP3 is crazy in steals and that’s also why I drafted Booz. He gets alot for a big man. The PGs I drafted also hold it down, so I think I can win this category outright every week, along with rebounds and blocks.

Category that will do me in - TOs. Again, when you build a team around a PG, it’s bound to happen.

But can I win it all…? My whole season rests on Yao. I love to take gambles in Fantasy. If Yao stays healthy, I basically have 2 first round picks. If he goes down then my team is mediocre at best. So as my best friend Rich would say in a drunken car ride home from NYC, “Yao, you are my eyes and ears right now!”

How will I do? Vote in the poll and let me know!

From the New York Times:

Litmus Test? | 10:12 p.m. Could you ever nominate someone to the Supreme Court who disagreed with your view on abortion?

Mr. McCain says he wouldn’t have a litmus test and would consider anyone and their qualifications. But, he says, he doesn’t believe that anyone who supported Roe v. Wade would be qualified.

Mr. Obama also says he would have no litmus test. He goes on to say he supports Roe v. Wade but doesn’t say whether he would support someone who opposes it.

Of course he doesn’t say! This debate began and ended like all the other ones - McCain attacking Obama, and Obama sidestepping the attacks without giving a clear response. Who do you think won?

P.S. - There’s a new poll at the right. I know I’m probably preaching to the choir, but go ahead and vote and we can see where our Biters stand.

“People who pray the Rosary are appealing to the Mother of Mercy and so merciful is. She, that She’s inclined to aid spontaneously, those who suffer. She is absolutely incapable of refusing help to those who invoke Her. The Rosary prayed daily is the most fitting formula for praying and meditating.”

I stumbled upon The Rosary Room today when I was looking for widgets. It is so awesome! I love the whole design of it. And for all you Mac users, it also comes with a handy Rosary Widget.

I just love how Mama Mary and the Catholic Church is being taken with us into the modern world. It just shows that no matter how old our Church is, it is still the Word for all ages.

I always tell people (and myself), if you’re going to send a crazy emotional email, you should always wait until the next morning to send it. I guess someone at Google was thinking the same thing when they invited this: Mail Goggles.

Once activated, you are required to solve a few very basic math problems in under 43 seconds, to make sure you are in the right frame of mind. Funnier yet, the default setting activates Mail Goggles on weekend nights only.

Thanks to good people at Google, now you can wake up the next morning in peace! Hungover maybe… but in peace

There’s a story in the bible about a guy named Peter. The story goes like this:

Jesus is teaching loads of people out on the Sea of Galilee one day - typical fanfare for the Messiah. The crowd is standing out on the shore, while he’s standing on a boat owned by this guy Simon. Upon the completion of His teaching, Jesus tells Simon to go out and fish some more. Simon was taken aback, as they have been fishing all night and caught nothing.

See, in those times, and still even today in some places, fisherman would do their work at night, in the shallow part of the water. That’s where all the fish were. They’d swim closer to shore, then the fisherman would lower their nets, and in would swim the fish. That’s the way it worked for thousands of years.

That’s why when Jesus said to throw the nets over into the deep side, and in broad daylight for that matter, Simon must’ve looked at Him like He was crazy! He told him they’ve been fishing all night and caught nothing already. In other words, work time was over, and their nets were empty. Put a lid on it, Jesus! But for some reason, it was their destiny to believe anyway, and they casted their nets.

Lo and behold, their nets were overflowing with fish. It was a miracle. And Simon and Andrew dropped everything and followed Him.

I love this story. I love its simplicity and how easily we can relate it to our modern lives.

Today as I received the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confession, I was reminded again how much God loves me. I pray that as I live out my daily walk with the Lord, that He will bless me with opportunities to show His love to everyone I encounter.

May God bless us all, as we continue to conquer the world with Love.

I gotta give props to the Roots. They are still holding it down as musical artists in a generation of ring-tone marketeers. Props also to their label for allowing them the creative freedom to retain their own license. God knows theres enough so-called rappers that sell out now a days.

For anyone looking for Jimi’s original (the Isle of Wight version), someone posted it, although they shouldn’t have because the DVD is freakin amazing.

And to those 2 of you who voted for New Orleans to win it all, did you really think so?!
