Ahh the endless job search…
November 20, 2007 – 9:16 amToday I find myself once again waiting for call backs. From staffers, recruiters, potential employers and the like. It’s exciting though, I may be nearing an end to this journey. Whether it lands me in the job I want, or I find myself settling for something in the meantime, at least I know I’ll back in the corporate world.Searching for jobs reminds me of golf. You want the perfect groove, but yet it’s so frustrating. Regardless, you put up with endless mishits because out of thousands of swings, you have one perfect moment of contact. You could have a miserable round and as long as you hit one perfect shot, you’re happy as can be at the 19th, chatting it up over a couple of beers and a hot reuben.I joke around with Cheryl sometimes and say we should all be communist. Because there’s an endless catch22 when it comes to job searching. You graduate college, you have endless debt to pay, and so you look for an entry level job. Then you realize the entry level jobs all require 1-2 years experience. Well how in the world are you supposed to get 1-2 years experience if there’s no entry level jobs that will take you?!Oh what would the pigs on Animal Farm say? I can see them walking around on their hind legs now…In celebration of pigs, here is a picture of Homer and Spider Pig.
